 ASSOCIATION DES DIPLÔMÉS DE POLYTECHNIQUE 

Roche is a major partner of the Association des diplômés de Polytechnique, which invites all École Polytechnique de Montréal graduates to attend related professional and recreational activities. The association’s mission is to promote the interests of its members and the École Polytechnique de Montréal. www.adp.polymtl.ca 

FONDATION ORCHESTRE SYMPHONIQUE DE LONGUEUIL  

 Roche has participated in the Fondation Orchestre symphonique de Longueuil’s various fundraising efforts since 2006. Thanks to Roche’s support, the foundation was able to put on a fifth annual production,  purchase new equipment for its musicians, develop youth activities and set up an investment fund to ensure the organization’s longevity.  www.osdl.ca

 KEMPT ROAD HERITAGE, INTERPRETATION CENTRE

 Roche is proud to be involved in the fundraising campaign organized for Kempt Road Heritage, located in the municipality of Ristigouche Sud-Est, in the Gaspésie—Iles-de-la-Madeleine region. The goal is to raise funds to remodel the interpretation centre’s exhibit, produce the historic walk on Kempt Road guidebook and beautify the Saint-Fidèle cemetery. Kempt Road Heritage is a non-profit organization that promotes the history of a road that was once the only link between the Maritime Provinces and the rest of Canada. www.ristigouchesudest.ca/heritage.html

FONDATION SAINTE-JUSTINE'S CACHOU INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT 

Every year, leading figures in the business community are invited to compete in the Cachou Invitational Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Fondation Sainte-Justine. Roche is pleased to be taking part in this always-successful event, which will be held at the Club de golf Laval-sur-le-Lac at the end of May.  www.fondation-sainte-justine.org

CENTRAIDE, OPÉRATION ENFANT SOLEIL AND RED CROSS 

Every year, Roche and its employees organize a fundraising campaign to benefit Centraide, Opération Enfant Soleil and the Red Cross. In so doing, we help improve the living conditions of thousands of children and citizens at risk. 

JEUX DE GÉNIE DU QUÉBEC (ENGINEERING GAMES)

Roche is sponsoring the 22nd edition of the Jeux de Génie du Québec (engineering games), being held from January 3 to 7, 2012 at the École de technologie supérieure in Montréal. This year’s theme is civilizations. Attracting over 500 students from throughout the province, the games promote the sharing of academic knowledge, build team spirit and encourage self-surpassment.  Roche is proud to be involved in the training of tomorrow’s workforce.  jeuxdegenie.qc.ca

THE FIRST SOMMET DES GESTIONNAIRES EN DÉVELOPPEMENT DURABLE

Gaston Déry, Vice-President of Sustainable Development, gave a talk at the first Sommet des gestionnaires en développement durable on February 21, 2012, an event organized by the Grandes Conférences les Affaires. Mr. Déry presented the challenges companies face and the solutions they can apply to make sustainable development part of their management approach.

FONDATION CHEVALERIE PASSION

Pierre Dolbec, president of the fundraising campaign, and Mario W. Martel, patron of honour, were delighted to take part in the second annual cocktail party to benefit the Fondation Chevalerie Passion, held on March 29, 2012 at the Aquarium de Québec. The foundation uses horses to help people with physical, intellectual or social-emotional disabilities.
